Crimson Desert Has Reportedly Already Sold Close to 400,000 Copies on Steam

Crimson Desert has reportedly managed to close to 400,000 copies on Steam, just days ahead of its release.

Pearl Abyss’ upcoming open-world action-adventure is all set to release on March 19, 2026, and players are extremely hyped for the title. There was one thing missing ahead of launch, and the developers delivered it yesterday: console footage on the base PS5. Now, some impressive sales details have been revealed.

Crimson Desert Reportedly Grossed Over $20 Million on Steam

The latest Steam sales numbers for Crimson Desert come through a report by Alinea Analytics. The report states that as of March 16, 2026, Crimson Desert had already sold close to 400,000 (363,000) pre-launch copies on Steam, which amounts to gross revenues of over $20 million. Of the 400,000, 10% of the sales came in on March 16, which helped boost revenue by $2.6 million. The title has close to 2.2 million wishlists on Steam.

There was some discussion about cancelling pre-orders on Steam; however, when the developers announced that the title would feature Denuvo Anti-Tamper. But the developers were quick to respond and assured players that all the footage, benchmarks, and performance videos they had seen of the game featured the same version of Denuvo. Players will have to wait for Pearl Abyss to release their sales numbers to see how the game has performed across all platforms.

In other news, Crimson Desert will support PS5 Pro’s upgraded PSSR at launch. Additionally, check out the launch trailer for the title, which goes all-in on epic boss fights.
