Call of Duty Fans Can Buy a ‘Captain Price Gold Bar’ for $450

If you’re a Call of Duty collector with money to burn, perhaps you’ll consider investing in the gold standard of collectable items. It was recently revealed that in an exclusive partnership, Activision has teamed up with Produit Artistiques Métaux Précieux (PAMP) to create a limited run of Call of Duty-themed gold and silver bars.

Those eager to secure a gold bar with an imprint of Captain Price on the surface will need to act relatively quickly – there are only 5,000 available, and at the low, low price of just $450, they’ll likely fly off the shelves.

The Gold Standard

For those with less money – or more sense – there’s a silver bar available to purchase for a more affordable price: $109. It’s slightly larger than the gold bar and more readily available, with 15,000 having been created by PAMP.

If you’re trying to establish yourself as one of the biggest Call of Duty fans in history, you’ll want to opt for the $450 gold bar, which has dimensions of 13.1×22.1mm. For reference, that’s really small (about the size of a Jolly Rancher but paper-thin) – but nobody said gold is cheap.

It doesn’t end there, though. If you’re feeling flush enough to purchase one of these gold bars, you’ll also get an in-game weapon charm that’s exclusively available for owners of the limited collectables. There’s also an attractive collector’s box that houses the bar, providing buyers with a pendant frame.

Is it worth it?
