In a new clip uploaded on social media, professional Call of Duty League players from OpTic Texas have offered up their two cents on Battlefield 6. It has been a few months now since both Battlefield 6 and Black Ops 7 hit the market, and truth be told, neither game is doing too well.
Unsurprisingly, the Call of Duty League pro players are firmly in the Call of Duty camp when it comes to picking between Black Ops 7 and Battlefield 6. In their words, it’s a slower game that’s built for ‘dads’.
Is Battlefield Better than Call of Duty?
Last year’s release of Battlefield 6 was slated by some as being a potential Call of Duty ‘killer’. It’s a term often lobbied around by those desperate to see the end of Activision’s first-person shooter series. When it dropped, Battlefield 6 did remarkably well, but the success ultimately petered off, culminating in layoffs and ever-dropping sentiments about the game.
Black Ops 7 hasn’t fared much better, though.
In a new clip posted on social media, the OpTic Texas pro players, with some other organization members like Methodz and Scump, debated Battlefield vs. Call of Duty, that age-old discussion between gamers.
Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell was quick to offer his inflammatory thoughts:
Your game sucks. Your game sucks!
A lot of their hype is them just 1v1’ing COD.
It just looks like a worst COD to me, bro. Slower… If maybe my Dad was going to play COD, he’s literally going to buy Battlefield 6.
Scump agreed with him, then H3CZ, the CEO of OpTic Gaming, explained his perspective:
I don’t like any game that prohibits my movement abilities.
To give credit to both sides of the fence, Methodz stated that they’re ultimately two different games, suggesting that it’s not entirely fair to compare them. He said that he likes Call of Duty more, but was still able to enjoy Battlefield 6.

I have to say that I have been playing Call of Duty since it first came out in 2003. Love the game and I play it every day. I’m now 76 years old and retired and am a competitive player that I think does pretty well. When Battlefield 6 came out I was excited to play the game. I purchased it and found out very quickly I didn’t like it at all. As a matter of fact I hate it and I’m sorry I wasted the money buying it. Don’t like the graphics, don’t like like the movement and most of all don’t like the fact that I can’t seem to be competitive in the game. Can’t get any kills etc. and die almost immediately upon confronting and enemy soldier/soldiers. Don’t know if they use skill based ranking or not but it’s not fun at all.
Just a side note, I was a Los Angeles Police Officer for 36 years. Tactics, Use of Force trainer for most of that time. Play the games because they help me keep up my skills ( hand eye coordination etc.) Battlefield doesn’t allow me to do any of that. Maybe my opinion doesn’t matter because I’m old, but thought I thought I would put in my 2 cents worth.
