Call of Duty Goes Twilight in New Vampires vs. Werewolves Mobile Season

Activision has unveiled the next super-sized Call of Duty Mobile season, and it’s themed around Vampires vs. Werewolves, taking the best-selling mobile shooter and making it feel like something out of the Twilight universe. It’s a Halloween-themed season that invites users to pick a faction and take part in special, limited-time modes, fighting for their chosen side.

The action commences on October 14, but what side will you pick? Are you a bloodthirsty Vampire or a beastlike Werewolf? Do you not care and would rather these kinds of things didn’t invade your game? Tough, that’s what happens in mobile games that run wild with special, seasonal events! It’s fun.

CODM Season 9 Features Mythical Monsters

At the heart of Call of Duty Mobile’s Season 9 update, the Vampires vs. Werewolves patch, you’ll find a slew of new seasonal events. There’s Call of the Dead, which invites players to celebrate Dia de Muertos by collecting Howlbones to use in the limited-time event store. If you collect 100 Howlbones in your CODM-themed adventures, you’ll unlock a K-9 Unit skin that turns your dogs into skeletal nightmares.

There’s also the Fang Wars faction battle, which requires users to pick a side and fight for their team. In this mode, you can unlock exclusive blueprints unique to your faction, and regardless of how things wrap up, both factions will reap rewards for free.

The new Vampires vs. Werewolves battle pass dropping with Season 9 comes with a stack of free and premium content, including a new weapon, the Grav Assault Rifle. It’s said to be a high-velocity weapon that ‘shreds distant targets.’

There’s plenty more coming, and the full notes about the new CODM season can be found on the Call of Duty Blog.

Users can download some of the seasonal update content now to get a head start in terms of storage arrangements, but it won’t be playable until the new season goes live on October 14.

Are you going to be diving into the Vampires vs. Werewolves content in COD Mobile when it lands next week? Let us know your plans on the Insider Gaming Discord server.
