Dataminer and leaker billbil_kun has taken to Twitter to claim that Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake will be announced soon.
According to the leaker, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake will be published by 505 Games, who purchased the intellectual property of the game in 2015.
Unfortunately, billbil_kun couldn’t pinpoint a release date, but due to the nature of how his information is obtained, an announcement will likely be made at The Game Awards on December 7, 2023.
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons was first released in 2013 and received “generally favorable” reviews from critics, The game sold around 800,000 units by the end of 2015.
The game involves controlling two brothers at once as you experience co-op play in single-player mode, like never before.
“A man, clinging to life. His two sons, desperate to cure their ailing father, are left with but one option. They must set out on a journey to find and bring back the “Water of Life” as they come to rely on one another to survive. One must be strong where the other is weak, brave where the other is fearful, they must be… Brothers.”, the game description reads.
The developers behind the game, Starbreeze Studios, sold the intellectual property of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons to 505 Games for $500,000 in January 2015.
UPDATE – A countdown timer has gone live at https://brothersthegame.com, suggesting an announcement will be made today.
