Blood of Dawnwalker’s Time Mechanic Won’t Be Used in Every Game

The Blood of Dawnwalker developers, Rebel Moon, have revealed that not every game will feature the time mechanic.

For those curious about the time mechanic in The Blood of Dawnwalker, the game features a unique system where players have 30 days and 30 nights to rescue their family. Unlike traditional games, the way time progresses is quite different. Players have expressed a range of opinions on this mechanic; some love it, while others find it frustrating. The developers have confirmed that this time system will not be a standard feature in every installment of the game.

The Blood of Dawnwalker Devs Are Considering ‘Crazy Ideas’ For Upcoming Games

During a new interview with Eurogamer, The Blood of Dawnwalker director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz discussed the time mechanic appearing in upcoming games. When Tomaszkiewicz was asked whether the new system is part of Dawnwalker’s identity, he said it wasn’t decided. However, the devs will tinker with it, so maybe only parts of the story will have it instead of the whole game, and it will not be forced where it doesn’t fit.

The director also discussed how it can be used to “boost the urgency of some events in the game”, but added that he’s “saying that in every game we will have the same scheme or loop.” Tomaszkiewicz added that the team is “also considering and researching some other crazy ideas which can make the RPG genre different to surprise people in the future.”

Blood of Dawnwalker’s director also addressed the complaints, acknowledging that he understands some of them, but encouraging players to try out the implementation.
