Black Ops Port XP Exploit Lobbies Already Fixed by Activision

Activision wants you to have fun, but it needs to CONTROL the fun. This is why if you’ve been taking advantage of XP lobbies in the Black Ops 1 port, or you’ve heard about them, you’ll be sad to hear the exploit has already been patched out.

It wouldn’t be a Call of Duty game without an exploit or two. The Black Ops ports haven’t been out long, but the community has already been using XP lobbies to boost player levels…but not for long.

New Black Ops Port Playlist Update Removes XP Exploit

The fun police swiftly came along to crash the party.

Black Ops port players have revealed that the recent method to boost XP is no longer active and has apparently been fixed in a recent playlist update.

In the exploit, as explained by X user @Lobbies_x:

‘With the ps4 version of Black Ops 1, you can transfer your save data to PC and decrypt it then edit it with a toolthen re-encrypt it once you’ve replaced the default text from the save data with the text in the screen shot here. Doing so would give you force host and apply XP earned to each suicide you do along with giving you COD Points. It works for zombies as well from what I’ve seen, but not too sure how all that works.’

Convoluted is an understatement, especially if you’re out of your depth with this stuff like me.

It feels like a lot of effort for meager amounts of XP, and for very dull gameplay.

The same user has reported that ‘XP lobbies on Black Ops 1 Port have now been capped at 500xp with the latest playlist update.’

Don’t worry, there’s always another exploit or glitch waiting around the corner for the community to find, before Activision inevitably clamps down on that too.
