Black Ops 7 Zombies Getting Classic Mode, It’s Claimed

Black Ops 7 Zombies may be getting two different modes at launch, with the newest one being one that fans will love, should the leak be true.

Despite Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 getting a lot of press, we haven’t seen too much about its Zombies mode. While we did see brief glimpses in the reveal trailer, we don’t know much. Still, the upcoming COD Next, streaming on September 30th, is when we’d learn more. However, a prolific leaker in the Call of Duty community may have revealed a big addition to the mode.

Black Ops 7 Zombies Classic Mode Goes Back to Basics, Hints Leaker

The Zombie claim in question comes from TheGhostofHope, whose track record is rather impressive in terms of Call of Duty leaks. The user said on Twitter/X that Zombies will have two modes at launch: Standard and the all-new Cursed. The latter will reportedly bring things back to basics, with players having no armor, no exfil, no minimap, and a pistol to start. TheGhostofHope also claims that the mode will bring back the classic points system and have a separate mystery box and allowed weapons.

This new mode is similar to how classic Zombies modes were back in Black Ops 1 and World at War. While players will get to choose which mode they’d like, it’s unclear how it will work beyond that. Of course, as the leak is unconfirmed by Activision, please take it with a grain of salt. Still, with TheGhostofHope’s track record, perhaps we’ll see the mode in action come September 30th.
