Following its acquisition of Activision-Blizzard, it should surprise no one that Microsoft intends to go full bore with the Call of Duty franchise. They’re casting a wide net, launching their titles on Xbox systems, PC, and now PlayStation. But is Black Ops 6 coming to Game Pass, too?
Will Black Ops 6 Launch on Game Pass?
According to recent reports, Black Ops 6 will indeed launch on Game Pass. Whether or not it launches on day one remains to be seen, but knowing Microsoft and its usual launch plans, it’s absolutely likely. Just take a look at Starfield. The open-world RPG was their most anticipated title, and they launched day one on Game Pass.
We had an inkling that the next Call of Duty would come to Game Pass. Previously, Sarah Bond at Microsoft revealed the team intends to launch every first-party title on Game Pass, including Call of Duty. We just saw Diablo IV hit Game Pass, so why not the biggest first-person shooter franchise, too?

When Will Black Ops 6 Come to Game Pass?
As mentioned, it’s unclear whether the upcoming first-person shooter intends to launch on day one, though it’s becoming increasingly more likely. That said, Black Ops 6 will likely launch on the subscription service on release day, which is currently October 25!
Considering Call of Duty remains one of the most popular competitive first-person shooter franchises in the world, earning countless hundreds of millions of dollars annually, it’s surprising to see Microsoft forego retail sales in favor of their monthly subscription service.
Will you play it on Game Pass or buy a copy outright? I’m curious to see how this affects sales, though Activision pushes microtransactions in multiplayer hard!
