Customization always plays a big part in modern gaming, and while options are relatively limited in Big Walk, there are still a fair few choices to select from.
Big Walk is fairly restrictive in the approach to customization, however, as there are only a couple of places it can be adjusted, and you won’t be able to select these outside of the game, like in a pre-game menu.
Instead, you’ll need the assistance of a friend and need to head to a particular area, which Insider Gaming has all the details on.
How to Change Color in Big Walk
You can only change color in Big Walk with the help of another player, as you cannot paint yourself or alter your appearance manually.
Early in the game, you will reach a starting area with the first few puzzles to complete, and there will also be a location in the middle with a paintbrush and a variety of colors to choose from.
Another player must pick up the paintbrush and select a color to use, then paint your legs and lower body, arms and middle body, and head separately.
You can readjust your paint colors whenever you return to this area, but you won’t be able to do it on the fly and must bring another player with you every time.
Can You Unlock More Colors in Big Walk
Yes, there are a few additional colors to earn in Big Walk by completing the ‘Get Shiny’ achievement, but it will take a lot of hunting.
While you’re initially given a palette of colors to choose from in Big Walk, the Get Shiny achievement is geared around finding a second location, which unlocks three metallic colors to customize with.
However, this won’t be available immediately and, in fact, requires a hefty amount of progression in the game, so don’t be too concerned about it initially.
It doesn’t change much anyway and is merely a customization option, so the best approach is to just focus on the puzzles ahead of you.
