Battlefield 6 Update 1.3.3.0 Details—Changes to Recoil, TTK, Limb Damage and More

Battlefield 6 and REDSEC will receive a new update on June 30, 1.3.3.0, which will bring changes to gunplay depth, Time to Kill (TTK), changes to recoil, limb damage, and more.

The developers of Battlefield 6 have announced a new content series titled “Battlefield Combat,” where they will share their vision for the game’s combat mechanics and their plans for future developments. The first edition of Battlefield Combat will concentrate on gunplay, highlighting the various gameplay changes players can expect in the upcoming update.

What’s New in Battlefield 6 Update 1.3.3.0

Battlefield 6’s update 1.3.3.0 will be implemented across 5 categories: Gunplay Depth, Distance & Drag, TTK, Body Damage Multiplier Changes, and Sniper Sweet Spots. Check out all the changes below:

More Predictable Recoil and increased Bullet Deviation

The first change in Battlefield 6’s update 1.3.3.0 will provide more consistent, predictable recoil direction across all weapons. Additionally, the developers have implemented a slight increase in bullet deviation that players will notice after the first shot. This adjustment will emphasize the importance of controlled bursts or tap-firing to maintain accuracy at longer distances, while allowing full-auto fire to remain effective in close-quarters combat.

Decreased Muzzle Velocity

To keep long-range combat more interesting, the developers will reduce the muzzle velocity of most weapons, particularly SMGs. They have also tuned bullet drag to make anticipating target movement more important.

Time to Kill (TTK)

The developers will reduce the average TTK by adjusting damage multipliers based on where bullets hit the target. This will help retain the best possible TTK.

Body Damage Multiplier Changes

Based on player feedback, the upcoming Battlefield 6 update 1.3.3.0 will reduce the damage dealt to limbs and the lower torso for all weapon classes, except shotguns and sidearms. As a result, players will generally need one additional shot to achieve a kill when primarily hitting the limbs or lower torso. However, headshots will compensate for the reduced damage inflicted on these parts. Future Battlefield Lab tests will focus on changes to body damage multipliers in long-range combat.

Sniper Sweet Spots

Sniper Sweet Spots are areas where the weapon deals increased damage, and if you see a rainbow-tinted Sniper Rifle glint, it means you are in the sniper’s “Sweet Spot.” The developers realized that Sniper Sweet Spot ranges were too generous for snipers, and there was a lot of overlap between all the other guns. Here are the reduced and changed sweet spots for each sniper:

  • SV-98: From 54-90m to 54-75m
  • M2010 ESR: From 75-120m to 75-100m
  • PSR: From 100-150m to 90-120m
  • L115: From 120-175m to 100-133m
  • Mini Scout: N/A (No “Sweet Spot”; by design, it’s meant for fast follow-up shots)

All the details were available on Battlefield 6’s new blog post.
