Battlefield 6 Open Beta—Possible Start Date, What to Expect & Do we Know How to Sign Up?

This is the most-talked-about Battlefield title in a while. EA, DICE, and everyone involved know this needs to knock it out of the park. Battlefield 6 could be a crucial moment for the series, and the open beta is the big test required to get everyone onboard with the future of the franchise hanging in the balance.

Battlefield Labs shows how serious everyone involved is about this game. We all want to forget about Battlefield 2042, and Battlefield 5 wasn’t the greatest BF title ever. It’s felt like years since we had a real winner. Battlefield 6 could be the proposition we’re all waiting for. It has a proper campaign once more, Battle Royale, and classic Factions.

If you’re eager for the Battlefield 6 open beta, let’s take you through what we know.

Possible Battlefield 6 Open Beta Start Date

According to EA App information, the Battlefield 6 open beta could start on August 4—if not, it should be early August.

More than likely, August 4 is not the official start date. The first news came from the dedicated Battlefield community who spotted the open beta build information through the EA App.

We understand Battlefield 6 will be officially revealed on July 31. It’s set to be in the same style as the COD Next events. Content creators have already received promotional packages from EA, suggesting this is all coming to fruition very quickly.

So, the timeline is looking like this:

  • Battlefield 6 official reveal on July 31.
  • Build details go live on August 4.
  • BF6 Open Beta to start early to mid-August.

We’ll be keeping you in the loop with all the latest Battlefield information here at Insider Gaming.

Do we Know How to Sign up For Battlefield 6 Open Beta?

It’s unclear if you need to pre-order Battlefield 6 to gain access to the open beta, download it from your storefront, or fill out a registration form to access the beta.

Going back to the EA App’s API (where the original information came from), the code states BF6 will have: “Early open beta access.

An open beta doesn’t usually require you to pre-order a game. You normally download the beta for free through your platform’s storefront: PS Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, etc.

There’s also a chance you might need to fill out a quick form to receive an Open Beta code. They’re usually 3-5-minute documents requiring the most basic of information—presumably so EA has data it can track pertaining to the beta.

Again, we’ll keep on top of the open beta entry details for you. Keep checking back to this guide for new developments.

What to Expect From Battlefield 6 Open Beta

We expect Battlefield 6’s open beta to be a continuation of the foundation laid down by Battlefield Labs.

The MO for the new Battlefield game has been clear from the start: Create the ultimate Battlefield experience tailored to what fans want. Despite some initial resistance, the open beta will include a playlist with class-specific weapons, for instance.

Unless there’s a drastic U-Turn, we can expect to see the new gadgets, new Operators, and, hopefully, the Rush game mode in frantic BF matches filled with explosions, vehicles, and much more.

What are you looking forward to most about the Battlefield 6 open beta? Are we finally getting a working, world-class Battlefield game? Leave your comments with us through the Insider Gaming forum.
