In a clip uploaded recently on social media, an intense ending to a campaign mission in Battlefield 6 was revealed, showcasing over a minute of potential single-player content. The footage came courtesy of Temporyal, a long-time Battlefield dataminer who stressed that ‘it’s just a video file in the client, not actual gameplay from a test.’
The clip is very rough around the edges, obviously unfinished, and buggy, but it’s one of our first glimpses into the single-player portion of the next highly anticipated Battlefield title.
‘Prologue and Eight Missions’
The clip that appeared on social media thanks to Temporyal has picked up insane traction in recent hours as Battlefield fans clamour for their ‘first look’ at a potential single-player sequence from the Battlefield 6 campaign. It’s highly likely that the clip isn’t fully representative of a final sequence, but it’s a peek behind the curtain at what EA’s studios have been cooking all these years.
Here’s a short clip from the Battlefield 6 singleplayer campaign in the latest BF Labs update. This work-in-progress footage shows the explosive finale of a mission to destroy a dam in Tajikistan.
In a follow-up comment under the video, Temporyal answered a question from a user concerning the length of the campaign:
So far, it looks like we’ll be getting a prologue and eight missions set in various locations – including Egypt, Tajikistan, the USA, and Gibraltar.
Die-hard fans of the Battlefield franchise were quick to highlight how much DICE enjoys destroying dams in Battlefield games. It’s a recurring theme in the popular first-person shooter franchise, that’s for sure.
In recent news, the Battlefield Labs playtests revealed that Battlefield 6 (not the confirmed name) has officially transitioned from Pre-Alpha to Alpha, and references were uncovered pointing to the game’s battle royale mode. Not much is known about the mode, but you can bet your last dollar we’ll always have the latest here at Insider Gaming.
