Battle Royale mode has officially been confirmed for Battlefield 6, and it’s coming sooner than you think.
After many leaks since Battlefield 6’s announcement earlier this year, the popular mode is on its way. Battle Royale has been in the series before, like with Firestorm in Battlefield V. Despite that, we now know the multiplayer mode will be a part of the upcoming game in some way. Fortunately for players, they won’t have to wait long to play it.
Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Begins Playtests in Battlefield Labs
In a blog post, the service officially revealed that Battle Royale is coming to Battlefield 6. However, before it makes its way there, the mode will be tested in Battlefield Labs. Playtests for the mode begin this week, so those signed up can try it out. The blog mentions that the mode will be more in-tune with the series, with destruction all around.
Battlefield’s mode plans to make the deadliest map in the Battle Royale genre, raising the stakes higher and higher as the fire draws in. With 100 players per match, organized into 25 four-player squads, chaos is sure to ensue. Keeping the series’ class system, you’ll be able to play how you’d like. As always, the environment is fully destructible, which you can use to your advantage.
No official release date for when Battle Royale will release as of yet. However, we do know it will launch later this week, so fans won’t have to wait long. With Battlefield 6 releasing on October 10th, there’s plenty of time to get ready and now, you’ll be able to do it in style.
