Borderlands 4 Launch Marketing Includes Vegas Sphere and London’s Biggest Train Station

Borderlands 4 is set to drop this week, and 2K is running wild when it comes to marketing the game. In recent weeks, the promotional campaigns for Borderlands 4 have grown more extravagant, but none can top what we’ve seen (and are yet to see) this week.

Yesterday, 2K and Gearbox lit up the Vegas Sphere with a bespoke Borderlands 4 ad spot, which can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. From tomorrow, the team is taking over London’s biggest train station, Waterloo, with an activation featuring loot and ‘interactive photo ops’.

Borderlands 4 is Almost Here

Borderlands 4 is one of the most highly anticipated games of 2024. During Gamescom in August, I was lucky enough to get an hour-long demo of the game, shortly after sitting down with CEO Randy Pitchford for a lengthy interview.

It has been six years since Borderlands 3 dropped, and I can safely say that Borderlands 4 is an evolution of the series that came before in every way.

Following an extremely expensive spot on the Vegas Sphere, 2K and Gearbox Software have promised to ‘take over’ London Waterloo station in the United Kingdom, offering fans an exclusive opportunity to secure free Borderlands 4 swag. It’s the latest in a long line of activations designed to propel Borderlands 4 into the eyes of as many gamers as possible.

Just a few weeks back, an enormous interview conducted by Epic Games revealed stacks of information about Borderlands 4, including the fact that the game features as many as 30 billion guns.
