New Batman Game Releases Next Week

Batman: Caped Crusader Chronicles is an upcoming Amazon Luna exclusive title that releases next week.

Players have been eagerly awaiting a new Batman game for a long time, especially since the last major release, Arkham Knight, came out in 2015. While we did see another title, Gotham Knights, it didn’t feature Batman as the main character. Now, a new game puts Batman front and center, but it may not be the type of game that players are expecting.

Batman: Caped Crusader Chronicles Releases July 31

A new announcement by Amazon Luna revealed that Batman: Caped Crusader Chronicles will release on July 31, coming alongside the second season of the Batman animated series on Prime Video. It was announced earlier this week that Amazon Luna will be bundled with Prime Video, but there are some caveats that you can learn about in Insider Gaming’s story.

“Batman: Caped Crusader Chronicles” is an 11-episode adventure game that offers challenging detective-based minigames. Players will interact with iconic DC characters, featuring voice performances from some of the series’ original cast, including Hamish Linklater as Batman, Michelle C. Bonilla as Detective Montoya, and Matthew Needham as the Joker. This is a cooperative party game for 1 to 4 players, where participants will decode evidence, chase leads, and confront famous DC Super-Villains.

These villains include the likes of Scarecrow, Babyface, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Dollmaker, Lynx, Music Meister, and The Joker. The game releases as a part of GameNight, a growing collection of games only available through Amazon Luna. The game will be available in the U.S., UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, and Luxembourg at launch.
