The game is still likely a ways off, but new Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora details have apparently leaked thanks to a Reddit user.
The details come via user u/Eht_Hctins, who has a history of posting game details on the platform. Their post mentions the in-game combat system, how quests work, and the game’s world.
Regarding combat, they say that players will be able to tame the creatures in Pandora and use them “to help you, both in land and in fight”. Players will also be able to loot in the game, and there will be crafting.
Questing appears to be different than that of other open-world Ubisoft titles. Eht_Hctins says that rather than traditional quest markers, the game “leads you to a small area, in which you’ll need to explore to find what you need.” They say it’s less “do this” and more “figure it out”.
Lastly, they talked about the game’s world. Specifically, it was mentioned that it changes throughout the game after doing various activities. There’s also a dynamic weather system that sees characters reacting to it. One specific example was that creatures won’t fly in stormy weather.
As with all rumors not confirmed by the studios, take the above with a grain of salt. That said, what do you think about the latest details for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora?
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is currently in development by Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment. When available, the game is set to launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
