One of the more popular action roguelites to come out in recent years is making its way to Nintendo Switch 2.
As Insider Gaming spotted, Astral Ascent has received a rating from the Taiwan Rating Board, with H2 Interactive as the publisher. For those out of the loop, H2 Interactive also published the title on PlayStation 4 & 5, with Hibemian Workshop being the developer.
While the game is already in great condition on Switch 2 thanks to backward compatibility, it still lacks a dedicated version. Still, we don’t expect a big performance upgrade over the current experience, as there is little room for improvement. However, this release might come with other, even more exciting, updates.
One possibility is Astral Ascent finally catching up to the current PC version on Switch. That might be less likely because the issue lies with Nintendo’s approval process for newer version releases rather than the developer itself.
Another, more likely, situation would be major content updates alongside the Switch 2 announcement. Luckily, players may not have to wait that long for an official announcement because the developers have confirmed a big reveal planned for Triple-I Initiative. It would make the most sense for this to be announced during the showcase.
