The next Assetto Corsa racing title is coming within the next 18 months. According to the latest financial statements from Digital Bros, Assetto Corsa 2 is planned for next year.
“The second version of Assetto Corsa is currently in development, and its launch is scheduled for Spring 2024,” the company said in the document.
As of December 2022, Assetto Corsa has sold over 28 million units globally. The game originally launched in 2014, and has generated over €104 million in revenue for the company.
“Assetto Corsa faithfully recreates the performance and the driving experience of real cars, replicating tyre grip, aerodynamic impact, engine parameters as well as different weather conditions,” the company says of its game. “Nearly one hundred cars are available to choose from, reproduced in collaboration with the most prestigious automotive manufacturers, and that can be driven on legendary circuits.”
The last game from the company, Assetto Corsa Competizione, launched in 2018 and is the official game for the GT World Challenge motorsport championship. Unlike the original, Competizione only features tracks and cars in the GT World Challenge series of races. It’s also the pfficial game for the FIA Motorgames Esport Tournament.
As of now, no other details about the next Assetto Corsa game are known. That said, if the game is coming spring 2024, that information should start coming later this year.
