New Ubisoft Job Listings Confirm Assassin’s Creed VR is Still in Development

Despite the title being announced over two years ago, not much has been said about the future of Assassin’s Creed in VR. We’ve already learned that Assassin’s Creed has at least five titles in the works; Mirage, Hexe, Red, Jade, and Invictus, but nothing else officially has been said about the Assassin’s Creed VR project.

Although nothing has been said officially about the project for some time, a couple of new job listings for Assassin’s Creed VR were posted to hitmarker yesterday, suggesting that the game is still in development.

Insider Gaming understands that the game is called Project Nexus, and features at least 16 individual missions (potential spoilers). The title features Ezio, Kassandra, Connor, and Haytham as playable characters across their respective settings.

Earlier in the year, Insider Gaming was sent video footage of the game anonymously, which showed the game to be almost complete. It even prompted me to post on Twitter myself that it was somewhat of a surprise that the VR title hasn’t yet been officially confirmed.

For now, though, it seems like the game is still in active development, with two job listings for the game; a Lead Level Designer and a Senior Technical Artist.

It’s understood that Nexus will contain all of the features you know and love from the franchise including pickpocketing, lockpicking, climbing, assassinations, combat, and even the leap of faith.

Are you looking forward to hearing more about Assassin’s Creed VR?

For more Assassin’s Creed news, Insider Gaming has learned that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is currently scheduled to release in August 2023.
