Ubisoft Licenses New Assassin’s Creed NFT’s

Ubisoft has licensed a series of new Assassin’s Creed NFT’s with Integral Reality Labs.

The new NFT’s are branded as ‘Smart Collectables’ and allows buyers to own a physical version of their NFT that can be “customized and embedded into their own physical Smart Collectible”. Once buyers purchase their NFT, the owner will be able to have the customized and embedded physical version shipped directly to their door.

According to the smartcollectibles.io website, the first Assassin’s Creed NFT drop will be coming soon, but no official date has been given.

The website outlines how exactly the drops will work in four stages:

  • Watch for the drop release to purchase a digital soul.
  • Choose a rarity. The higher the tier, the more trait customizations are available to you.
  • Customize your digital soul’s traits. Choose outfits, weapons, and poses. Then forge your digital soul into a unique Smart Collectible.
  • Awaken your Smart Collectible through our IRL companion app. Interact with your digital soul and engage in a rewarding collector experience.

You can read more about the collectibles from the official @ACSmartCollect twitter here.

Ubisoft will be making a series of announcements at this year’s Ubisoft Forward after pulling out of E3. It’s expected that the show will finally show gameplay of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage and yet-to-be-announced Assassin’s Creed Nexus.
