An alleged GameStop employee has revealed on the /r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will release in August 2023.

The post came alongside an image, allegedly taken from GameStop’s internal systems showing the image of Mirage’s targeted release date.

Back in December 2022, Insider Gaming reported that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is targeting an August 2023 release date. Although we’re yet to receive an update on such plans, it’s understood that the gameplay of Mirage will be shown off at this year’s Ubisoft Forward event on June 12, 2023.

We’ve already outlined what you can expect from the event here.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be the first of many Assassin’s Creed titles to release that is currently in development at Ubisoft.

  • Assassin’s Creed Mirage (Baghdad setting)
  • Assassin’s Creed Project Red (Japan setting)
  • Assassin’s Creed Project Hexe (Central Europe setting)
  • Assassin’s Creed Project Jade (Mobile/China setting)
  • Assassin’s Creed Invictus (Multiplayer)
  • Assassin’s Creed Project Nexus (VR)

In addition to the already confirmed projects, Insider Gaming also understands that a further four more games are in the planning stages. Codenamed Nebula, Raid, and Echoes, each of the pitched Assassin’s Creed titles will be developed by different studios and will have vastly different playstyles from its predecessors.

As for if the GameStop leak is accurate or not remains to be seen, but as June fastly approaches, we anticipate more leaks on Mirage in the near future.

What do you think Assassin’s Creed Mirage will release?
