Palworld has been in early access for over two years, but the big 1.0 release is finally on the horizon, and tons of new and returning fans are bound to get involved in the action.
Despite numerous legal battles with Nintendo, thanks to the creature-capturing mechanics and Pokémon-esque Pals, Palworld is ready to come out the other end stronger than ever.
If you want to get involved with Palworld’s 1.0 release, here’s every platform that the game is playable on.
Can You Play Palworld 1.0 On PS5?
Palworld 1.0 will be playable on PlayStation 5, with the game already available on the PlayStation Store.
When Palworld first entered early access, it missed the PS5, and the PlayStation community felt majorly left out. Thankfully, after a few months on other platforms, it was surprise-launched on the PS5 back in September 2024, and fans haven’t looked back since.

Since the 1.0 release is a major update and not a new game, owners of Palworld will automatically receive the update and will not need to buy a new game. Just boot up the game, let 1.0 install, and get straight into the action.
Can You Play Palworld 1.0 On XBOX Series X|S?
To no surprise, Palworld 1.0 is also available on both the XBOX Series X|S.
XBOX was the first console Palworld appeared on, with the game launching on the Series X|S day one. In fact, it’s even available on XBOX Game Pass, with the title having been a Game Preview ahead of the 1.0 official launch.
So, if you’ve never given the game a go, and you’re an XBOX Game Pass subscriber, the release of Palworld 1.0 is the perfect opportunity to dive in and start taming some Pals.
Can You Play Palworld 1.0 On PC?
This one’s a given; yes, Palworld 1.0 is available and playable on PC.
Other than the occasional console exclusive, namely from PlayStation or Nintendo, practically every game is playable on PC, and the same can be said for Palworld.

It’s available through Steam or the XBOX app, with PC Game Pass also offering the game as part of its collection.
Can You Play Palworld 1.0 On Nintendo Switch?
Nintendo fans will have to stick to the likes of Pokémon, as Palworld 1.0 will not be playable on the Nintendo Switch platforms.
Given the lawsuits and general back-and-forth between Pocketpair and Nintendo, it’s hardly surprising that the game isn’t available on either Nintendo Switch console.
It was suggested that Palworld could be possible on the Switch 2, but a year has since passed, and Pocketpair has made no further comments on the port.
Until then, Switch owners will have to watch on from the sidelines, as Palworld enters 1.0; check out the trailer below:
