During an exclusive talk at EGX London, Sam Lake personally confirmed that Alan Wake 2 – which will be released on October 27th – will be getting ‘significant’ DLC post-launch on both a free-to-download and paid basis.
He didn’t go into too much detail, but Lake confirmed that there will be a series of drops following the game’s release and that many of them will be free for all players to access.
It Gets Better??
In the early gameplay reveals and breakdowns, everything we’ve seen of Alan Wake 2 suggests it’s going to be one hell of a memorable title. It looks chilling, beautifully haunting, and well-acted. It boasts live-action snippets interspersed between pulse-pounding in-game sequences positively bursting with tension.
Speaking at EGX, Sam Lake stressed that there will be more of that to come once the game has been released:
It has been more than thirteen years since the first Alan Wake game was released, and it’s finally about to come full circle with a detailed sequel. Are you excited about the thought of jumping back into the morbid world of Alan Wake?
