Final Fantasy 16 is finally coming to Xbox. Nearly two years after it first launched on PlayStation 5, Microsoft and Square Enix have announced that the latest installment in the classic franchise is now available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC.
That’s right. The game has been shadow-dropped during the Xbox Games Showcase.
“The legacy of the crystals has shaped our history for long enough,” the description reads. “Five nations fight to claim the Mothercrystals. As the fragile illusion of balance crumbles, the fates of the Dominants—those who harness the power of the Eikons—start to fall into mad disarray.
Like when it first released on PC in September 2024, Final Fantasy 16 will be available on Xbox as a Standard Edition with the base game or players can purchase the Complete Edition that comes with both DLCs: Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide.
The release also supports Xbox Play Anywhere, meaning that buying it on Xbox PC or Xbox Series X|S entitles you to play the game on either platform. That even includes the newly announced Xbox Ally from Asus.
