It has just been revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase that when Gears of War: Reloaded is released on August 26, it’ll have full crossplay and cross-progression mechanics. The news dropped alongside a new trailer that showcased the visual clarity and effects of Gears Reloaded, which arrives almost twenty years after the game first hit the Xbox 360.
Reloaded and Ready for Action
The Coalition unveiled a new trailer for Gears of War: Reloaded and confirmed (again) that it’ll be released on August 26 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Gears of War: Reloaded marks the first time that a Gears game will be released on a PlayStation platform, which marks a historic moment for gamers everywhere. It takes us back to where the series began, way back in 2006.
The new trailer aired today by The Coalition revealed gameplay sequences, which look polished, as well as the full technical details of the game. It’ll be cross-play, cross-progression, and available as part of the Xbox Play Anywhere ecosystem.
