The God of War franchise is set to take a significant step in a new direction, as the next game in the series puts players in control of Faye, Kratos’ wife, rather than the God of War himself.
Revealed during the June 2026 PlayStation State of Play showcase, God of War: Laufey follows on from the character’s death in Ragnarok, and brings an adventure for players to experience in the afterlife of the gods.

Who is The Faye Actress in God of War: Laufey?
The actress behind Faye in God of War: Laufey is Deborah Ann Woll, who is both the voice behind the character and performed the motion capture.
Faye in the game is styled around Woll too, with the God of War: Laufey main character being a replica of her real-world look, and she’s easy to recognise.

This is possible as Faye was only recently introduced in God of War’s Norse saga, where she has been portrayed by Woll throughout, and, therefore, doesn’t have a classic look that needs to be replicated, like in the case of Kratos.
What Are Her Post Roles?
Alongside portraying Faye in the most recent God of War games, a role being reprised in Laufey, Deborah Ann Woll is recognisable across the world of TV and games.
A standout role is her portrayal of Karen Page in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, first in Netflix’s Daredevil TV series, and then in Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+. As Karen Page, she also appears in The Punisher and The Defenders.

Woll was also a regular on True Blood, portraying Jessica Hamby across 71 episodes over a span of six years, and was the Dungeon Master across 28 episodes of 2022’s Children of Earte.
She is most recognizable for roles in TV and movies, however, as her video game experience is solely from the God of War franchise.
