Karmine Corp swept GIANTX 3-0 to lock in their place in the LEC Spring Split playoffs 2026 top three.
KCorp will now face their rivals Movistar KOI in an exhilarating match-up with MSI qualification on the line.
And reigning champions G2 Esports will await the eventual winners in the LEC Spring final to defend their title.
This result also means that MKOI has secured a spot for the League of Legends portion of the Esports World Cup.
Meanwhile, GIANTX have been eliminated from the LEC Playoffs before reaching the finals weekend yet again.
GIANTX shocked regular season leaders Team Vitality 3-0 just a day prior, but were then comfortably second best versus KCorp.
GIANTX Crumble Under The Pressure
Coming off the back of a 3-0 victory over the first seeds, all eyes were on GIANTX to see if it was a fluke or not.
The organisation showed a lot of faith in its players by keeping the same five-man roster from last year.
However, in this series the players appeared a little too eager to repay that faith by constantly overreaching.
The series could have been very different had GIANTX held onto their lead in the first game using their unique draft with Mel and Shen bot.
GIANTX were four kills up to nothing and held a 2k gold just eight minutes in, but weren’t patient enough.
They wasted too many resources, including Shen ult, for a failed gank top, which led to Oh ‘Noah’ Hyeon-taek being dove on the other side of the map.
GIANTX then finally killed Kim ‘Canna’ Chang-dong with a dive of their own, but support Yoon ‘Jun’ Se-jun died to turret aggro.
GIANTX were clearly anxious and kept making mistakes. A Baron rush didn’t work, the team unnecessarily committed a double tp for a bot gank that was already a sure kill.
Canna and Yike played teamfights beautifully and punished GIANTX wasting resources to win the first game.
And from there, KCorp were simply a level above the now low-confidence GIANTX and stomped the next two games to end the series.
