Any great game out there is typically elevated by the inclusion of multiplayer and co-op, and the same could undoubtedly be said for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.
However, even though it’s 13 years ago now, the original game in the franchise offered no multiplayer, but has that changed with Nintendo’s latest entry into the wacky world of Tomodachi Life?
Save yourself the confusion and find out whether Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has multiplayer or co-op below.
Does Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream Have Multiplayer?

It’s sad news for those of you wanting to play Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream with friends online, as there’s no multiplayer mechanics.
Despite the social nature of building an island with a variety of Miis, it appears that Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is a strictly single-player experience. Instead, you’ll have to help your Miis nurture families and fulfil their requests on your own.

It’s a shame, as multiplayer was a highly anticipated feature for the franchise, but it seems like Nintendo didn’t want to deviate from the single-player nature of the game. However, if you can get together with your friends locally, there is still some hope…
Does Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream Have Co-Op?
Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream features limited local offline multiplayer, focusing on offline item and Mii sharing instead of visiting each other’s islands.
Sorry to those of you hoping to explore other people’s islands, as you’ll have to ask for a tour on their device instead of taking one yourself. However, if your friend makes a Mii or design that you like the look of, you can trade with one another—so long as you can meet up locally.

It’s definitely a disappointing omission of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, especially since those multiplayer features are viable in the likes of Animal Crossing or Pokémon Pokopia. Maybe there’s room for an update to allow for online trading in the future, but upon release, you’ll have to rely on your local friends for new designs.
