Does Crimson Desert Have Difficulty Settings?

If you’re here, you’re probably finding Crimson Desert a tad bit difficult, but fear not, you’re not alone. Plenty of encounters are on the challenging side of things, especially with the variety of bosses and skills to master.

That poses the question, though: does Crimson Desert have difficulty settings? It’s a valid quandary, especially with the modern day of countless accessibility settings to make gaming as accessible for as many as possible.

That being said, some titles are simply meant to be more difficult than others, but is Crimson Desert one of them? Insider Gaming has all the answers you could need below.

Can You Change The Difficulty In Crimson Desert?

It’s bad news for those of you struggling out there, as there are no adjustable difficulty settings in Crimson Desert.

It seems like Pearl Abyss just wants to see you suffer, as there’s no way to make the game easier for yourself in the settings. Instead, you’ll have to buckle down and work hard to get past any boss you’re struggling with, as they’ll keep dishing out the damage whether you like it or not.

However, it’s not all bad news. Sure, you can’t adjust the difficulty in the settings, but there are some ways to make the game easier for yourself, and Insider Gaming has some suggestions below.

How To Make Crimson Desert Easier

The main piece of advice to make Crimson Desert easier is to take your time with the campaign, as there are numerous spikes in difficulty that may catch you off guard.

A handful of bosses arrive as a skill check of sorts, as they pair Kliff up against a tough opponent that can be incredibly tough, even for the most skilled of gamers out there. That’s why it’s important to make sure Kliff is appropriately levelled up for each encounter, which you can manage by completing a variety of side content.

Additionally, make sure you’re stocked up on food, as that’s your main source of healing. Don’t enter a boss fight without a healthy collection of recipes, and make sure they heal enough health at once.

Finally, get out there and explore. You’d be surprised how much gear is hidden in ruins and behind puzzles out in the world of Pywel. Try new weapon types, experiment with different Abyss Cores, and you’ll find yourself getting stronger and stronger. Before you know it, it’s time to take on the boss who gave you grief and show them who’s in charge.
