First Crimson Desert PlayStation 5 Console Gameplay Footage Officially Revealed

Crimson Desert looks like one of 2026’s most ambitious games, in a year with GTA 6 after all! Pearl Abyss has marketed Crimson Desert well, but the noticeable lack of PlayStation and Xbox console footage has been a huge worry. The wait is finally over.

With the Crimson Desert review embargo looming, everyone has been wondering how the game performs. Does it run great on PC but not on console? The gaming community has been burned by similar situations before, but if you’re wondering how Crimson Desert handles on console, you can stop imagining it and start watching it.

The official PlayStation Japan YouTube channel has unveiled over 20 minutes of PlayStation 5 console gameplay footage ahead of the game’s much-hyped launch.

Pearl Abyss has previously said that the company is ‘not hiding anything.’

Now, it definitely isn’t. The main X page let players know: “#CrimsonDesert gameplay on the PlayStation 5 base console has premiered on PlayStation Japan’s PLAY! PLAY! PLAY! Along with a new boss..!”

You can check it out for yourself below.

One misconception to clean up is the comments being turned off for the video. This is pretty much a default action on all PlayStation Japan YouTube videos, and not something done specifically for Crimson Desert.
