It was recently discovered that several key members of the WB Montréal team have been laid off and are looking for work. This includes senior developers who have been with the company for nearly a decade.
Warner Bros. hasn’t been having the best of times in the last couple of years. It was almost a year ago that Warner Bros. Games canceled Wonder Woman and shut down multiple studios. Additionally, Warner Bros. Games held layoffs late in 2025.
The same has already happened again, this time to WB Montréal.
WB Games Hit By Another Round Of Layoffs

At least three significant employees for Warner Bros. Montréal have been let go by the company.
Associate narrative director Ceri Young, level designer Camille Olivier Paquette, and associate producer Nicolas Pereira-Poisson all communicated via LinkedIn on Friday, March 13, to inform everyone that they had been affected by layoffs and that further job losses could still be ahead.
Here’s Ceri’s statement:
“Hey all! As of today I’m looking for a new role in the games industry. I’ve worked as a lead and an associate director and have 18 years of industry experience to draw on. I love writing for games and building teams. If you’re looking for a lead with tons of experience in writing and building collaboration across departments, please reach out!”
This is Camilie’s message:
“Today was my last day at Warner Brother Games Montreal and I am now looking for an opportunity to continue my career as Level Designer in the industry. I have scripting experience in Unreal Engine (blueprint) and I prioritize player experience when I design layouts, missions and puzzles. I am always ready to tackle new challenges to learn new skills and improve myself. I love sharing my passion for video games and board games with others. Feel free to connect me with anyone looking for a passionate Level Designer.
And finally, Nicolas:
“Hi everyone! Got affected by layoffs. After basically 9 years at the WB Montreal studio, I had the opportunity to work across many different roles and projects and overall had lots of fun so I am not going to feel sad about this news. I will however rest up for a little bit. I’m all ears for roles in Production, QA Management & even junior Tech Design!”
All three are now actively seeking work again and are interested in any roles associated with their field.
Insider Gaming wishes them well, as well as anyone else who may have been affected by the WB layoffs. It’s unclear whether this latest bout of layoffs will affect any upcoming WB plans.
Warner Bros. Games is teasing the return of its ‘Biggest Franchises’ in 2027-28, and some winners are needed following Suicide Squad’s disastrous launch. With Paramount poised to win the bidding war for Warner Bros., the next few months could be an interesting period for the company as a whole.

Close down Netherrealm and Rocksteady already. Hopefully they all close soon. I don’t see how JB is telling the truth of multiple big games in 2027-2028 the guy seems to be lying to keep higher ups at bay and save his job typical exec.
