Over the last couple of days, Fallout fans have been puffing the hopium pipe, firm in the belief that the developer of the Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas remaster projects had been uncovered.
Iron Galaxy Studios posted an image a few days back showing a company presentation with a classic Fallout cover image, prompting many to believe the company was working on the remasters. The rumor gained traction because of Iron Galaxy’s experience working closely with Bethesda Game Studios.
The team has just emerged to take the wind out of everyone’s sails.
Iron Galaxy Studios is NOT Working on Fallout
Iron Galaxy Studios is the latest company to be eliminated from the Fallout remaster pool. Following the posting of an image on social media that made everyone believe they were working on the Bethesda-backed remasters, the team has surfaced to shoot down the rumors.
In a post on social media, they wrote:
Nope! There is nothing to see here. Sorry to disturb the volcanoes, but that was just a BTS look at our company meeting. We use that slide every month and has nothing to do with anything Fallout being worked on. As you can imagine, we love Fallout, too. Now pardon us as we retreat back into our vault.
Of course, fans were quick to point out that that’s exactly what a company secretly working on the most highly anticipated remasters in years would say. The whole ‘retreat to the vault’ line is enough to make fans still believe that Iron Galaxy is connected in some way to the remasters.
At this point, we have no idea who is working on Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas remastered, nor how far along they are in the development lifecycle. We know that multiple Fallout games are in the works, thanks to Todd Howard, but things are being kept buttoned up quite nicely.
