Housemarque currently has multiple job openings. They are gearing up for their next project.
Housemarque is the maker of Returnal and the upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive, SAROS. While the latter has yet to be released, new job listings on the company’s official website show what they are looking for in their next project.

There are currently six openings at the company, one of which is for the Principal Graphics Programmer. The job listing notes that they will work closely with the team, specifically the Technical Art Director, Technical Director, and Graphics Architect, to help drive the next evolution of games at the studio.
“Together with the team, you will push innovation in ray tracing, lighting, and shading, turning fresh ideas into practical solutions, whether through GPGPU techniques or real-time ML and tensor computing,” the listing notes.
Additionally, they are looking for someone with 8+ years of experience in graphics programming for similar projects, including at least one shipped AAA video game. Notably, they are also requesting a candidate specifically passionate about pushing Fidelity on PlayStation hardware.
Lead Gameplay Animator Listing Specifically for Upcoming Game
They’re also looking for a lead gameplay animator. This listing specifically notes that they are working on the “next groundbreaking title” from the team. Potential candidates should have a background in gameplay animation for AAA games, preferably in a leadership position.
“If you’re a seasoned gameplay animation leader with a passion for developing both ideas and people, you’ll thrive in our collaborative environment. While we appreciate self-starters who are eager to learn new techniques, we also value team players who can contribute to a larger vision,” the listing reads.
