The God of War live-action series has revealed its first image, showing the actors for Kratos and Atreus fully decked out.
The live-action series from Amazon Prime Video, based on PlayStation’s iconic God of War franchise, has been shaping up nicely. We have already heard about all the recent casting announcements, with some big names attached to the project. Now, we have finally received a glimpse of what the series could look like.
God of War Live-Action Promotional Image Showcases Kratos and Atreus
A new post from the official X account of godofwaronprime confirms that the live-action “God of War” series is officially in production. The post features an image of Kratos actor Ryan Hurst and Atreus actor Callum Vinson fully embodying their characters. The image resembles a scene from the opening sequence of the first game, where Kratos teaches Atreus how to hunt a deer, with Vinson shown holding a bow and arrow.
From what we know about the upcoming series, director Frederick E.O. Toye has been tapped to direct the first two episodes of God of War. Additionally, the show has already been renewed for a second season. Regarding the casting, we already know who will play Kratos, Atreus, Sif, Thor, Odin, Baldur, and Mimimir, with more to be revealed as the days go by. The release date for the series has not been revealed yet.
In other news, a God of War Ragnarok dataminer has seemingly found a link to the next game, with references to Athena and Egypt.
