Another name has been cast in the God of War series coming to Prime Video.
Deadline reports that Ed Skrein has been cast as Baldur in the upcoming God of War series. Baldur is the youngest son of Odin, who will be played in the series by Mandy Patinkin.
Baldur is described as Odin’s most dangerous weapon. He’s also described as charismatic and razor-sharp with a tongue. He was cursed as a boy with the inability to feel pleasure and physical sensation; he replaced those feelings with anger and bloodlust.

In addition to this announcement, it has been confirmed that Ryan Hurst will play Kratos. He previously voiced Thor in the God of War: Ragnarök video game. Teresa Palmer will play Thor’s wife, Sif, in the series. Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, known for his work in Severance, will be portraying Thor. Prime Video’s God of War Is Renewed for a Second Season
Amazon renewed the series for a second season. Production is expected to begin in February 2026. Thus far, there’s no word on when the series will premiere. Insider Gaming will continue to monitor the story and report any and all updates as the series’ cast takes shape.
