The next generation of the Pokémon franchise is on the horizon, following the first reveal of Gen 10 during the Pokémon Presents showcase on Pokémon Day.
Four years after the release of the previous generation, Scarlet and Violet, The Pokémon Company is gearing up for the tenth generation of the franchise. Now, a tentative 2027 release window for Pokémon Wind & Waves was announced.
Pokémon Winds & Waves Revealed

The trailer began showing Pikachu exploring various landscapes from previous generations, before two Pikachu wearing beach gear appeared at the door.
A sprawling look at the world teased several of the returning Pokémon players will be able to catch. However, the big reveal was a first look at the Gen 10 starters.
Browst, the Grass-type starter, is a small bird, Pombon, the fire starter, appears to be a Pomeranian dog, and, finally, Gecqua, the Water-Type, is a gecko.
The trailer also showed a hint at underwater exploration, returning to the franchise after decades of absence, before confirming the game would be released in 2027.
A 2027 release would extend the wait for Gen 10 to five years, resulting in the longest gap between two Pokémon generations.
Like Pokopia, Pokémon Winds and Waves will be a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, marking the first time a mainline Pokémon game has been exclusive to this generation of Nintendo console.
