As part of the Pokémon Presents showcase on Pokémon Day, it was revealed that Pokémon Champions will be released in April 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2, with a mobile launch coming later this year.
The release of Pokémon Champions marks a major shift for competitive play in the Pokémon franchise, which, until the release of the game, was competed on the most recent mainline versions of the game.
