MLB The Show 26 Gets First Gameplay Trailer And Feature Details

Sony San Diego has released the first gameplay trailer for MLB The Show 26.

The nearly two-minute trailer gives players their first look at the on-field action while also revealing some new features and updates coming to the game.

For gameplay, two big new features are Bear Down Pitching and Big Zone Hitting.

“Bear Down Pitching gives you more command over every pitch to own the mound and Big Zone Hitting opens up your sweet spot with better swing control at the plate,” Sony San Diego said. “Come up clutch on both sides of the ball and leave your mark like never before.”

In Road to the Show, players will have 11 new colleges to choose from along with new player attributes to upgrade. There’s also a new ratings system to separate the players and make them feel different.

Regarding modes, the World Baseball Classic makes its way to the game in Diamond Dynasty with all 20 baseball federations included. There’s even the addition of the Tokyo Dome as a playable stadium. Lastly, franchise mode includes a new trade hub with new trade logic along with “modernized lineups and rotations”.

More details on all of the new features will come in the buildup to release with multiple deep dives over the next few weeks.

You can check out the full trailer for yourself below. MLB The Show 26 launches March 17 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
