In the first quarter of 2026, both free and paid updates will be available for the game. For paid DLC, players will get the second Bounty pack, the Legend of the Stone Demon, along with a free content release with the Pearlescent Rarity.
Later in the quarter, players will receive access to the first Story pack update, named “Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned.” This will introduce an all-new region of Kairos, new story missions, and the first new Vault Hunter for Borderlands 4, C4SH.
In the second quarter of 2026, there are more Bounty pack updates and story updates coming. The Borderlands team notes that the most difficult endgame Mission yet will be a new takedown. The Takedown is promised to be a challenging gauntlet, including a new arena and new bosses.
