PUBG Studios have been hard at work developing Project Arc, which was officially named PUBG: Blindspot back in February 2025. It’s an upcoming 5v5 team-based, top-down shooter, and it’s entering Early Access very soon.
It’s a bold departure from the Battle Royale that the PUBG Studios are renowned for, but based on the prior demos, PUBG: Blindspot looks set to be an exciting time. If you’re looking to get involved, jumping in with the Early Access is the best time to do so, and it won’t make a dent in your wallet as it’s free to play!

PUBG: Blindspot Early Access Release Date
You can start playing the PUB: Blindspot Early Access from February 5, 2026. It’s free to play, so no pre-purchase is required.
All you’ll have to do is download the game on Steam once it’s released. As things stand, the system requirements seem fairly lenient, and you’ll only need 8 GB of storage space to download it—no need to cull any other titles.
The Early Access version of PUBG: Blindspot is expected to offer regular updates, patches, and improvements to the experience. At launch, you’ll have access to the 5v5 online PvP matches, where you can learn different classes, level up, and unlock new characters. What the game will look like once Early Access is over is another story, though.
When Will PUBG: Blindspot Officially Release?
It’s currently unknown when PUBG: Blindspot will officially release as a complete package, as the devs have stated that the duration of Early Access will depend on development progress and player feedback.
PUBG Studios has assured fans that Early Access is crucial to developing the game whilst practicing Open Development. It should allow for community feedback to directly shape the game’s systems, balance, and overall direction before release.
However, they have made it clear that the full version of the game will differ from Early Access. They intend for the official release to build upon the core gameplay experience and offer a wider variety of content for you to enjoy.
