StarRupture is now available to play during early access, but the launch is merely another step in a long development journey, with plenty of additional content and features shared in a detailed roadmap.
The early access launch of StarRupture took place on 7 January 2026, but, as shown by Creepy Jar’s previous launch with Green Hill, there’s still a long way to go before a full release, and the developer has plenty up its sleeve.
For a complete rundown of everything planned in StarRupture’s early access period, and an early look at what’s coming in a future 1.0 launch, Insider Gaming has you covered.
StarRupture Early Access Roadmap

New Features
There are plenty of new features in the works during early access, including planned introductions of wildlife, an in-game Codex encyclopedia, new building features, additional combat mechanics, and more exploration mechanics.
Additionally, custom game mode options, including adjustable difficulties, are on the agenda, along with the introduction of controller support and a new way to travel on the map between bases.
Creepy Jar has not provided a timeframe for when these new features will be brought into the game, nor do we know which of the features is a priority.
New Content
Alongside new features that make major tweaks to the way the game plays and the environment there is to explore, a slew of new content is due to be added throughout early access.
This includes an expanded map, additional corporation levels and rewards, new weapons, new resources, new buildings, new locations, and additional story elements.
Similar to the new features, no timeframe is provided for when the new content will be added, and it has not been shared in what order the content will arrive.
Quality-of-Life Updates
While there will be plenty of new content and features to enjoy, significant work will continue behind the scenes with quality-of-life improvements, including a cargo dispatcher/receiver network, balance adjustments for co-op play, accessibility options, and dedicated servers.
The quality-of-life updates come alongside ongoing improvements for game performance, building mechanics, combat mechanics, the world in general, and the UI.
1.0 Version
Though there is plenty to come during early access, that won’t be the end of the new content, as there are additional plans for an array of additions in the eventual 1.0 launch.
Creepy Jar specifies that the 1.0 launch will include the Frost Wave, a new biome, endgame content, more story elements, and achievements.
There’s no timeframe for the end of early access and when the 1.0 release of StarRupture will take place, however.
