Team NINJA has revealed in a post on social media that the upcoming demo for Nioh 3 comes with a bonus. Your progress, along with your custom-created protagonist, will carry over to the full game, scheduled to be released on February 6th.
The demo will be unlocked on PlayStation 5 and Steam from January 29, but it’s not the first time that the demo version of the game has been made available to PlayStation users.
Nioh 3 Demo Coming January 29
Nioh fans need to mark their calendars, as the date on which some of them can get their first taste of the upcoming Nioh 3 is mere days away. Team NINJA confirmed that the Nioh 3 demo will arrive on PS5 and Steam on January 29, 2026, giving many players their opening chance to explore this all-new title, which will drop a week later.
Players are invited to craft their own warrior and start exploring the game’s earliest sequences. Early footage revealed from the project suggests that Nioh 3 will lean further into the dark fantasy vibe, an aesthetic we imagine will ring true in that character customization menu.
Strangely, this isn’t the first time that the Nioh 3 demo has been made available. In June 2025, a demo went up on the PlayStation Store for a few days, allowing players an early glimpse at what they could expect from Team NINJA’s upcoming slasher.
Back then, the game’s core themes of freedom, exploration, confrontation, and historical energy were all front and centre.
