The official Ubisoft Music account has begun to reupload all of the soundtracks from the original Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, as rumors of a remake continue to swirl.
As of the time of writing, 18 soundtracks from the original game have been uploaded to Ubisoft Music, with other videos across Ubisoft’s YouTube channels being added (and hidden) to playlists.
The move has caused a flurry of speculation online, suggesting that Ubisoft is gearing up to announce the hotly anticipated Black Flag Remake, dubbed Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced.
First reported by Insider Gaming, the Black Flag Remake, under the codename Obsidian, has been in development for some time and is scheduled to be released by the end of this fiscal year (ending March 31st, 2026).
Release Date Speculation
But this is where things get tricky: according to our sources, Black Flag’s marketing was scheduled to start in January, with a release in March, meaning that although the dates line up, we also seen some material that didn’t pan out.
We had also seen materials stating that the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake would launch on January 16th with marketing in December, and while no marketing has yet taken place, it’s led people to believe the game could have marketing direction to be shadowdropped.
Unfortunately, on our side, it’s been very difficult to pinpoint exactly whether any changes have been made due to recent security breaches at the company. However, as now posted an X, the Prince of Persia website has seen some backend changes which could suggest an imminent release.
Original documentation said that the Black Flag Remake would start marketing in January and after the Prince of Persia Remakes release, so all in all, things are lining up. Albiet, without any official proof as of the time of writing.
