DeLorean Location In Fortnite
According to reports and Insider Gaming’s own findings, DeLorean drops are random around the Fortnite Chapter 7 map.
Now, the DeLorean might be random to an extent. You’re obviously not going to find one perched recariously on a roof in Battlewood Boulevard, for instance, but the vehicle does seem to crop up across random roads, streets, and logical parking spots.
IG has shown an example above of where a DeLorean was found.
The main thing to look out for is the DeLorean icon, which appears on the map once you get close to one. Keep checking your map frequently—or keep the map up while you auto-run—and the second you spot one, you should make like a tree and leave your current location and hop to the car.
What Does The DeLorean Do In Fortnite?
If you drive a DeLorean and get it up to 88mph, a mini-cutscene plays, you enter a time rift, and come out on the other side with a Plutonium Chest on top of the car in Fortnite.
It wouldn’t be a DeLorean inclusion without some reference to the car’s knack for traversing time once it hits a certain speed. Thankfully, Epic has recognized this, so you’re encouraged to seek out a car, get it up to 88mph, and you’ll get a unique Plutonium Crate for your efforts.
A Legendary seems to be a guaranteed drop from these chests, giving you easy access to a Legendary weapon or maybe a healing item that could save your life later on. It’s well worth doing in any match!
