Where to Find Swampertite & Get Mega Swampert in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Swampertite in Pokémon Legends: Z-A is only obtainable through competing in Ranked Online during Season 6 of the game, though the exact dates are yet to be announced.
Each Season in Pokémon Legends: Z-A lasts for around three weeks. Based on this, Season 6 and the distribution of Swampertite is expected to begin in early February, with the requirements likely to be the same as previous seasons, requiring Rank S to earn the Mega Stone.
Before Season 6 begins, it will be impossible to obtain Mega Swampert legitimately, although you don’t need to purchase the Mega Dimension DLC to unlock the Mega Stone or Swampert. Any player can receive Swampert through trading, while the Swampertite Mega Stone will be in your possession through ranked rewards if you meet the requirements.
Will Swampertite be Available Again?
Yes, like other Mega Stones distributed through Ranked Online in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Swampertite is expected to be distributed again in the future. However, ranked participation may always be required.
Following Season 1 in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Mega Stones available as the main rewards in each season have been available again in future seasons as rewards for achieving much lower ranks than the initial requirements. By Season 7, when the initial Swampertite distribution period ends, Season 8 will likely include all Mega Stone rewards so far.
As mentioned, though, Ranked participation is expected to remain a key requirement, which does mean that some Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A are unobtainable without a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
