Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Shadow Dropped for Switch and Switch 2

Square Enix has announced a new partnership with Aspyr by announcing Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition ports for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

There have been a lot of Nintendo Switch 2 ports in the news recently. One of the big ones was Grand Theft Auto 6 being tested for the Switch 2, and the other had Helldivers’ CEO commenting on the port. However, the latest news isn’t speculation; Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has been shadow-dropped for Switch and Switch 2 and is available to purchase.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Will Receive Special Discounts for Switch and Switch 2 Launch

According to the latest post on their website, the launch will provide players with several discounts, some of which can be bundled. First up is the launch discount, which will provide players 10% off on the regular price of $19.99 through November 24. Then we have the first Loyalty Discount, which provides an additional 10% discount to owners of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered on Nintendo Switch. Then the second loyalty discount is for owners of Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered on Nintendo Switch; they can also get 10% off.

Players who own both Tomb Raider I-III Remastered and IV-VI Remastered on the Switch can grab a discount of 30% when bundling all discounts. The Loyalty Discounts will be available in the NOA Region from November 18-25, and in the NOE/AUS Region from November 21-28.

What’s Included in the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for Switch and Switch 2?

Apart from the optimization for the Nintendo Switch consoles, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition features a lot of content. All DLC will be included, along with six bonus outfits for Lara, eight online multiplayer maps, and four multiplayer characters. The 8-player online multiplayer mode will be included. Lastly, there’s some digital bonus content, which features a behind-the-scenes look through digital versions of the Dark Horse comic Tomb Raider: The Beginning, the mini-art book Tomb Raider: The Art of Survival, and the “Final Hours of Tomb Raider” developer video series.
