Red Dead Redemption Coming to PlayStation Plus Next Month

Red Dead Redemption will be available to play through PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on December 2, 2025.

The whole Red Dead Redemption fiasco began when the ESRB ratings for current-gen consoles popped up today, featuring ratings for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch 2. We were then informed that RDR would be coming to iOS and Android devices through Netflix. Now, an announcement for PlayStation Plus has arrived as well.

Red Dead Redemption Will be Playable through PlayStation Plus Game Catalog

As revealed on the new Rockstar Games blog, Red Dead Redemption will be available on PlayStation Plus Game Catalog starting next month. The game will also be available to play for free through GTA+ with their Games Library. The new console versions of the game were created in collaboration with Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games.

Rockstar, being Rockstar, made this announcement a complete surprise for the players. Starting from December 2, players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S can look forward to an enhanced experience with higher fidelity and performance. The Nintendo Switch 2 will also get some hardware advantages, and what’s more, iOS and Android users can join in on the fun as well.

For those unaware, the events of Red Dead Redemption take place after the critically acclaimed title, Red Dead Redemption 2. Players will experience John Marston’s journey to bury his blood-stained past in the game’s campaign and also go through the zombie-horror companion Undead Nightmare, where they fight to discover a cure for the zombie plague that has taken over the game’s world.

In other news, Red Dead Redemption 2 has become the fourth best-selling game ever in terms of units sold. Additionally, the sequel was doubted due to budget and time constraints.
