Eternal Floette is a core part of the story in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, with AZ’s trusted partner Pokémon crucial in the final battles that occur in Lumiose City, and the Pokémon is obtainable in the game, along with it’s Mega Floette form.
Obtaining Eternal Floette and Mega Floette is one of the most challenging tasks available in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, however, due to the many steps that are required before you can add it to your party.
For a full breakdown of everything you need to do, we’ve got you covered in this guide.
How to Get Eternal Floette in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Eternal Floette is not available to join your team in Pokémon Legends: Z-A until deep into the post-game, which requires completing the full main story.
After the main story is completed, several postgame missions become available, opening the doors to get the likes of Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde on your team. However, AZ’s famous and unique companion, Mega Floette, is actually the hardest Pokémon in the game to obtain.
To receive Eternal Floette, you must complete 15 stages of the Infinite ZA Royale. This works similarly to the ZA Royale in the main story, with Challenger Tickets required to face off in a one-on-one battle with another trainer. To redeem the Challenger Tickets, head to the Quasartico Inc. headquarters.
The 15th time you face an opponent in the Infinite ZA Royale, which requires a total of 15 Challenger Tickets to be obtained, you’ll go head-to-head with your rival, Taunie. Eternal Floette accompanies her following the main story’s conclusion, and you must defeat her to obtain the Pokémon.
How to Get Mega Floette in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Defeating Taunie in the Infinite ZA Royale not only adds Eternal Floette to your team, but you’ll also receive Floettite that is used to evolve Eternal Floette into Mega Floette.
Unlike other Mega Evolution stones, this cannot be used on other Floettes, as they are different forms. Instead, the Floettite is an item only usable by Eternal Floette.
Mega Floette is also required for your Mega Evolution Dex as part of Mable’s Research Tasks, and without it, you’re unlikely to have enough points available to reach Level 50 and unlock the Shiny Charm.
