How to Get Mega Delphox in Pokémon Legends Z-A—Delphoxite Location, Explained

Pokémon Legends: Z-A introduces a host of new Mega Evolution Pokémon to obtain, though getting Delphoxite and unlocking Mega Delphox will take some work.

Mega Evolution unlocks in Pokémon Legends: Z-A are done in varying ways, though there are special circumstances for the Kalos starters and their long-awaited Mega Evolution forms, which lock the door for many initially.

We’ve got all the important details on how to get Delphoxite and add Mega Delphox to your squad in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Delphoxite will only be obtainable in Pokémon Legends: Z-A through Online Ranked Battles in Season 2, at least initially, though the full requirements are yet to be confirmed—and this Mega Evolution is not available at the time of writing.

Season 1 of Legends: Z-A, which includes Greninjite among the awards, ends on November 5, 2025, with Season 2 expected to begin soon after. From that point, Delphoxite will be available as a limited-time reward until the end of Season 2.

Though not confirmed, the expectation is that the unlock requirements will be the same for Mega Delphox as they are with Mega Greninja, which requires reaching Rank K in online. Remember, your progress and rank at the start of each season will be reset.

No official dates have been announced yet for Season 2 in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, though, judging by the dates of Season 1, it should be around three weeks long, coming to an end around November 26.

Will Delphoxite be Available Again?

Yes, Pokémon have confirmed that Delphoxite and Mega Evolution Stones awarded through Online Ranked will be distributed again after the initial limited-time period comes to an end, though specifics are yet to be shared.

Delphoxite may remain exclusively available through online ranked, however, as the initial press release revealing Mega Delphox and other Mega Evolutions for the Kalos starters states, “Mega Stones obtainable as promotion rewards are planned to be redistributed in future seasons.”

Additionally, it’s explicitly stated that Greninjite, Delphoxite, and Chesnaughtite cannot be obtained through regular gameplay.

More details will be shared in the future, and it remains to be seen whether the stance is adjusted later in the game’s lifespan, or if the upcoming Mega Dimension DLC will open up new avenues to obtain Delphoxite.
